J&K Education Department Releases Seniority List, Download Here
In a recent development, the Government of Jammu & Kashmir School Education Department has released a tentative seniority list for Senior Lecturers as of January 1, 2024.
The initial list was issued on March 28, 2023, but subsequent representations, objections, and grievances prompted a thorough review.
After meticulous examination of these representations on a case-by-case basis, necessary inclusions, corrections, and deletions have been made. The result is a consolidated seniority list, detailed in Annexure-A of the latest order.
This announcement, made in accordance with Rule-24 of J&K Civil Services (Classification, Control, and Appeal) Rules, 1956, covers 3390 Senior Lecturers.
However, it comes with the condition that the recorded Date of Birth (D.O.B) of individuals is subject to further verification from service records and their original matriculation certificates.
Members of the service not included or dissatisfied with their position in the tentative seniority list have a window of 07 days from the date of issuance to submit objections.
These objections, along with supporting documents, should be sent through the concerned Directorate for a case-by-case analysis and decision.
The notice, dated January 1, 2024, is signed by Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary to Government.
The list, although tentative, marks a crucial step in maintaining transparency and fairness in the Senior Lecturers’ seniority within the School Education Department.
